

A new WooCommerce website designed to inform, sell, and drive conversions
Viking Kayaks, a leading global name in watercraft, sought to support an ambitious worldwide expansion and strengthen its presence in the local market.
Web Revolution was commissioned for a major website upgrade with a dual focus: launching a powerful global platform to attract new distribution partners and building a conversion-focused, e-commerce-enabled site for New Zealand that integrates WooCommerce with the client’s inventory management system Cin7. The overarching goal was to inform, sell, and drive conversions globally and locally.


Conversion-Focused E-commerce for the New Zealand Market
Utilising new modern design and build, a dedicated e-commerce website was developed for the New Zealand market. This site is geared toward driving traffic and maximum conversions for local customers, allowing for direct online sales.
The e-commerce system includes upselling features for accessories and allows customers to easily upgrade components (such as paddles and seats) when purchasing combos/packages. Inventory is clearly managed with ‘In stock’, ‘Low stock’, and ‘Out of stock’ labels. While facilitating direct sales, the site also promotes New Zealand retailers, guiding customers to purchase in-store. Additional retail-focused features include pop-up promotions, a top notification banner for sales, and multiple payment options.
The homepage features a striking hero video, product/category adverts, a blog feed, a search box, and prominent display of major partner logos including Railblaza, Lowrance, C-Tug, Propelz, and Bixpy.
The primary goal of the international website was to promote the Viking Kayaks brand and its extensive range to attract new dealers and distributors. The design followed the same framework, but the content was strategically updated to be dealer-focused. The WordPress website acts as a central hub, promoting the full product range and clearly listing local dealers and their respective websites. A dedicated dealer section was created to list partners and showcase the specific items they sell, with this information dynamically pulled from the client’s inventory management system, Cin7 into WooCommerce.
